What is Brand?

Most of the People and Senior Executives of Many Marketing and Event Agenies are often asked - "What is a brand?"

In this article I will try to tell about the history of the Brand. The word brand has deep roots. According to some theories, the Vikings used this word to refer to branding cattle. This was done to fix the selected animals with one owner.

Another the most knowing Definition is "A Brand is a product, service, or concept that is publicly distinguished from other products, services, or concepts so
that it can be easily communicated and usually marketed."

The next stage of development of the Brand can be considered as the emergence in the Middle Ages at the Vatican two forms of intellectual property. The first form is the direct right of the product itself, its shape or design and packaging.

The second form is the reputation of the seller. The interesting thing is that the issue of the first form of intellectual property involved in secular lawyers who determined who had the right to ownership of a particular product or trademark. But the seller a question of reputation solved by the court of the church.

Most likely, then we began to distinguish the trade mark, which is something that can describe the company, its material side, while the BRAND shows the impact or the degree of confidence in the company.

The brand can not be registered and monitored or tie it to a particular country. Brand is not material, it exists in people's minds. But often enough for that to change Brands, if brand immutability.

More details in the next review, we consider the difference between the Brand name and Brand.
